Animation

Some of my animated work made at The Art Academy of Cincinnati.

An animatic parody of old 1950’s infomercials! This one showcases Instant Widow, a poisonous coffee creamer that will get rid of abusive husbands. Inspired by early internet parodies, the over the top energy in early 2000’s infomercials, as well as pointing out the misogyny and oppressive gender roles of the 1950’s.

An animation inspired by old point and click games showcasing a villain named The Malpractice Wizard, an evil man who uses a mixture of casting spells and medical procedures to make unnatural combinations of animals and people. This scene would be the bad ending of the game, and it leads into my next animation!

A fan made opening to one of my favorite shows, Dan Vs! This was an exercise on if i could make something that both matched the style and storyline of an episode. Dan’s whole thing is he hate everything, and I wanted to push the boundaries and have him hate that he was animated, and hate how progressively the quality degraded the animation got as time went on. Dan Vs Animation, as a concept!

My part of a large group project with my classmates for Sound And The Moving Image. We collaborated on building a story, characters, backgrounds, story boards and a final animation. I was in charge of the character designs and storyboards. This was used as a base by out 3d modeler to show where the characters would be, go, and what the timing should be.

A gamer girl infuriated at receiving the bad ending in her favorite point and click game. She is accompanied by her two pets, a kitty and a mouse who are each doing their own thing. I wanted to make two animations that went together, that also showed off two different skill sets.

Another experimental animation, this one dealing specifically with me learning how to 3D model, use Blender, and recreate a real space. This is a model of the dorm room i lived in for three years. Its also my first time rigging a 3d modeled character, an alien who looks an awful lot like me. I wanted to mimic the style of ps2 game graphics, hence the low poly, low textured environment.
